New instructions for the local church year-end report
From DAC Statistician Brent Webster
GCFA has made some changes to the statistical input system that is used by local churches to file their year end/statistician’s/local church report, and it is going to be a learning experience. One change is that the website address, effective December 7, 2011 will be ezra.gcfa.org. Once you log in you will be asked to go through a four step process to change your password. Your current user name and password should get you onto the site. The other changes that have been made should make the site more user friendly. Should you try to log in through the old web address, the system should send you over to the new site.
A second change may be more significant. In the past I have been able to give you your username and password. The system is much more secure and so what we have done in the past can no longer be done. What you need to do is the following:
Once you have changed your password, go to Account, select change contact information, and make sure that the email address listed there is correct for the person responsible for the report. If not, change it immediately. Should you forget your password, you will click on a link on the log in page and GCFA will send you a new password to that email address. You will need to know what your username is, and that I can help you with. In the future, when you receive a letter about the local church report, we will be unable to give you the username and password that is currently in use. In the fall of each year we will probably rest all usernames and passwords. We would then tell you what the new usernames and passwords are.
As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at my office Monday through Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon or by email any time.
