Apportionments

 Rev. Debbie Thomas, Norway;

 Rev. Sonie & Mike Clark, St. Ignace

Apportionments paid to the district and conference support ministries across our connectional system. They provide for conference benevolences, pension, health benefits, and infra-structure. Closer to home they support district events such as this Learning Fair and support for Camp Michigamme.

Ministry Jubilee

 Rev. Rosemary DeHut, Norway;

 Rev. Dave Wallis, St. Ignace

Ministry Jubilee is an opportunity for designated giving to mission and ministry projects sponsored by our Annual Conference and covenant partners. One hundred percent of every contribution goes to the project designated by the giver. The Jubilee Spotlight book lists projects worthy of your consideration and gifts.

The Advance

Rev. Jeff Maxwell, Norway

Rev. Mark Spaw, St. Ignace

The Advance allows churches and individuals to support both physical and spiritual needs through a variety of partnerships worldwide to provide life-changing and long-lasting impact . The projects, in the United States and around the world, are approved by the General Board of Global Ministries and 100 percent of all donations go directly to the cause. These ministries combat malaria and other health concerns, help build churches, dig well, equip schools, feed and clothe children, provide bicycles to pastors and much more.

Worship Leaders

The United Methodist Church believes in joining hands across our connected congregations to help all of God’s children wherever and whenever we can. We seek to follow Jesus by making disciples for the transformation of the world.

And when it comes to making a difference in the world, we United Methodists can open many doors through our giving. Our ministries are numerous and varied and because we are a connectional church, we can do more together than any one congregation can do alone. Our money accomplishes great things, all in the name  of Jesus Christ – feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, clothing the poor, caring for the sick, visiting the prisoner and more.

What if giving were less about obligation and more about joy? What if giving weren’t just our Christian “duty,” but a way to express gratitude for God’s abundance? What if we stopped being afraid that we won’t have enough, and instead realized that God always provides more than enough?

In the words of Bishop Mary Ann Swenson, “God has poured out everything needed for ministry in this time, in this global place and for all the people of God. Let us be the cup overflowing in a thirsty world.”

Learning Fair is an annual Marquette District event that offers opportunities for continuing education and training, leadership development, personal growth, and spiritual enhancement for everyone.
